Apartment housing durability improvement paint developed by DL E&C, obtained technology certification from the Korea Concrete Institute
Durability-enhancing paint technology developed by DL E&C and certified by the Korean Concrete Institute.
DL E&C and Gangnam Jevisco Co., Ltd. developed 'durability improvement paint technology for apartments' for the first time in Korea. DL E&C finished last year's patent application and registration about this technology. As a key technology for realizing long-lived housing and leak-free apartments, it has secured public confidence through technology certification from the Korea Concrete Institute, the nation's best professional organization related to concrete. In the future, it is expected to contribute to reducing construction waste and carbon emissions by expanding its application to existing concrete buildings as well as new apartments.
This paint has elasticity and waterproof properties, so it can prevent water leakage and decrease in the life of the building. It has elasticity that stretches like rubber up to 1.0mm, which is about 10 times higher than that of general water-based paint. Through this, even if a crack of 0.3 mm or less occurs, the paint forms a strong barrier to fundamentally block moisture penetration. In addition, it passed the permeability evaluation test at a pressure of 1 Bar (about the pressure received at 10m underwater) and even proved its waterproof performance.
It also has concrete carbonation resistance function, which is a key technology for long-life houses. Carbonation of concrete is caused by carbon dioxide penetrating into the concrete to cause corrosion of steel bars. The corroded reinforcing bar expands in volume, and as a result, cracks occur on the outer wall of the concrete, rapidly deteriorating the durability and strength of the building.
The paint developed by DL E&C plays the role of improving concrete carbonation resistance by reducing carbon dioxide penetration and increasing the lifespan of the building. If you use this product through Switzerland's accredited certification institution, it has been recognized that the concrete durable life has improved more than 3 times than existing.
This product is applied to all e-Pyeonhansesang and Acro sites that started construction after November 2021. DL E&C is planning to expand the sale of third party apartment site and existing apartment and concrete architecture as long as it has secured the public power of the product through technical certification. Through this, it is expected to contribute to reducing construction waste and carbon emissions by reducing social costs for building maintenance and increasing durability.
In particular, this technology was completed through joint technology development and research support activities to practice win-win cooperation by strengthening the competitiveness of partner companies. Since last year, DL E&C has been working together with Gangnam Jebisco Co., Ltd. and the development of paint technology to improve housing durability and succeeded in commercializing it. Introducing the technology developed by DL E&C to the site, partners can secure stable sales, and additional revenue generation is possible if the future sales are expanded. DL E&C is trying to build a seonhwan structure of win-win that creates sales and profits of partners at the same time as improving technology through jointly performed research performance.
