DL E&C Commemorates Its 83rd Anniversary of Founding in the Metaverse Space

DL E&C disclosed on October 13 that an event commemorating the anniversary of founding is being held in the metaverse. DL E&C prepared a virtual space where all employees including Korean and foreign construction sites can commemorate the company’s foundation and diverse people including generation Z can communicate. Eco-friendly social contribution activities for the underprivileged and children from developing countries are also conducted.
Boasting of a long history, DL E&C is commemorating the 83rd anniversary of its founding this year. The company took its first step as a construction material-selling company under the name “Burim Corporation” in front of Bupyeong Station in October 1939.
The company changed its name to Daelim Industrial in 1947 and entered the construction industry in full swing. Last year, Daelim Industrial, shifting to a holdings company system, was newly launched as DL E&C.
DL E&C constructed the metaverse “DL City” with DL’s landmarks including the company building, Acro Seoul Forest, and Jamsil Sports Complex. Its employees are participating in diverse events, going around virtual spaces by making their own characters (mascots). The real-time “True or False Quiz” related to the company history and achievement and “Escape Room game” are also held. They can also experience D. View, Korea’s first VR moving-in service, and an event of finding hidden presents is prepared as well.
An eco-friendly social contribution program wherein employees’ family members can take part is in progress. The environmental education popup book made by them is scheduled to be delivered to community children’s centers to be used as teaching aid. Donation of rarely used clothes of employees and their families to needy neighbors such as youth shelters, multicultural homes, slums, and developing countries is planned by collecting the clothes.
