DL E&C’s Win-win Cooperation Co-research Sales Exceed KRW 60 billion

DL E&C’s partner firms’ sales generated from the win-win cooperation co-research technologies with DL E&C have exceeded KRW 60 billion for the past two years.
DL E&C has conducted 105 co-research studies with its partner firms since 2019, and it is adopting 15 technologies that completed development from the researches in the field in order. The partner firms enter into purchase agreements with DL E&C by obtaining development technology patent licenses.
DL E&C is improving technological capabilities through the co-research outcomes and is also constructing a win-win virtuous cycle of creating sales and profits for the partner firms. DL E&C plans to expand the co-research projects at the ESG management level and aims to have sales of the partner firms surpass the KRW 100 billion mark in 2022.
One of the leading products developed through the co-research studies is the APT fire door. The fire door can stably endure fires longer than 70 minutes by applying special materials, so residents can be protected for more than 10 minutes compared to existing fire doors. The product is being applied to DL E&C apartments, starting with e-Pyunhan Sesang Gimpo Royalhaim that was completed in June 2022.
A technology enhancing construction quality, such as pile rebound check digitalization technology offering a safe working environment to workers, is also being developed. The technology measures the rebound occurring when a pile is put through the ground with heavy equipment using digital device. In the past, the accident risk was high because field workers surveyed (measured) manually, but remote survey (measurement) is carried out using digital device particularly smartphone, so safety and accuracy are much better.
