Partner firms’ sales through co-research technologies for win-win cooperation with DL E&C exceeded KRW 60 billion for the last two years. DL E&C has carried out 105 cases of co-research with partner firms since 2019. Of these, 15 technologies have completed development, and they are adopted in construction sites successively. The partner firms have secured the patent license of the developed technologies and have signed a purchasing agreement with DL E&C. 
 

DL E&C builds a virtuous-circle structure by improving technological capabilities through the research achievements via co-research and by promoting partner firms’ sales and income. The co-research projects will be expanded at the ESG management level, and more than KRW 100 billion is targeted for partner firms’ sales in 2022.   
 

One of the major products developed through co-research is an apartment fire door. The product can stably bear over 70 minutes by applying special materials upon the occurrence of a fire. Compared to existing products, it can protect the occupants for more than 10 minutes from fire. The product is applied to DL E&C’s apartments, starting from e-Pyunhan Sesang Gimpo Royal Heim completed in June 2021. 
 

A pile rebound check digitalization technology to enhance construction quality and to provide a safe working environment to workers is being developed. The technology involves measuring the rebound generated when a pile is inserted into the ground with heavy equipment. In the past, onsite manual measurement was conducted by workers, so the accident risk was higher; however, this technology’s safety and accuracy are improved considerably through remote measurement using digital equipment via smartphone.
