A completion ceremony was held for the Pyeongtaek Lake Traversing Road Section 2 construction site on January 20, 2020. The Pyeongtaek Mayor, Gyeonggi-do Vice Administrative Mayor, Local National Assembly Member, and Daelim Civil Engineering Business Division Director attended the ceremony. The construction site is building a local road 4.39km long from Shinwang-ri, Hyeondeok-myeon to Bonjeong-ri, Shinwang-ri, Pyeongtaek City. The project kicked off in March 2014, and the road was fully opened on January 22, 2020. The road will reduce Pyeongtaek citizens’ travel time between the two regions from 40 minutes to 10 minutes, and traffic conditions will consequently be improved. The road is expected to contribute to the invigoration of the Pyeongtaek Lake tourism complex and balanced local development as a landmark of Pyeongtaek City.
