Philippines’s SBPL 500MW CFPP Site Hosts Switch on Ceremony

The Philippines’s SBPL 500MW CFPP Project Site hosted the Switch-On Ceremony completion on Oct. 16. The site declared the official operations of the power plant open through the Switch on Ceremony. Philippine President Duterte, Philippine Trade and Industry Secretary, Client Meralco’s management, project officials including the Mitsubishi Group President, and Daelim Plant Business Division Director Yu Jae-ho attended the ceremony.

The SBPL 500MW CFPP Project involves building a 500MW power plant in the coal-powered thermal power plant in the Mauban region of the Philippines. Through the project, Daelim has become the first and only company to build a Naphtha Cracker Plant and to construct a supercritical pressure power plant in the Philippines.
