About 50 employees of three construction companies within the Daelim Group -- Daelim, Korea Development Corporation, and Samho International -- carried out the “Building Homes, Changing Lives” activity by visiting Haeorum Ville located in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on May 15. Haeorum Ville is an institution established to help low-income households consisting of mother and son by offering free residential spaces for 20 of such households.

The employees did wallpapering and flooring with eco-friendly materials and replaced lights with LED lights and worn-out kitchen sinks. They also made low wooden benches and installed shade canopies on the rooftop. They actually made rest areas where mothers and sons can comfortably rest in the sultry summer. The Daelim Group conducted the activity, and it has been improving the residential environment of the underprivileged alongside HABITAT Korea since 2005.

The participants are painting murals on the retaining walls of the facilities.
