The U-girder installation for the Vietnamese Hanoi Light Rail Line 3 site was completed on Dec. 22 and 23, 2018. The U-girder is a structure to make the vehicles or a train pass through on the overpass, and it is a kind of bridge connecting bridge piers. The installation of the U-girder is a key construction phase taking up 6.7km of the total 8.5km overpass rail. The site completed the installation of 572 U-girders with zero accidents.

The project involved building an overpass rail bridge where a light rail train travels in the 8.5km section from Hanoi Nhon carriage depot to Daewoo Hotel. The project kicked off in July 2014, and the current process rate is 98%, which is close to completion. By completing the last U-girder installation, the total 8.5km section has been connected without interruption.
