Daelim Holds Completion Ceremony for Peace Dam

Daelim held the completion ceremony of the water management capacity expansion project for Gangwon Hwacheon Peace Dam on November 14. Started by Daelim in November 2012, the construction was completed after 6 years. K-water CEO Lee Hak-soo, Hwacheon County Head Choi Mun-soo, and Daelim Civil Engineering Biz Division Chief Yun Tae-seop attended the ceremony and offered their congratulations on the completion. 
 
 
The mural “Gate to Unification” published in the Guinness Book of Records
as the largest trick art mural in the world
 
This project is a reinforcement construction covering the top part and lower part slope of the Peace Dam with concrete (125m high, 600m wide, and 1.5m thick). Surrounding the dam are an autocamp, a skywalk, and the Peace Narae Bridge. Especially the trick art mural (93.5m high, 60m wide) at the lower part slope of the dam was published in the Guinness Book of Records. The mural is 1.8 times larger than the previous mural record in Nanjing, China.
