Unit 1 of Bukpyeong Thermal Power Plan Begins Commercial Operations

Unit 1 of Bukpyeong Thermal Power Plant commenced commercial operations on March 8. The CEO of GS Donghae Electric Power (client), Daelim Managing Director Kim Gun-woo, Construction Site Director Baek Jong-suk, and STX Heavy Industries’ executive director attended to offer their congratulations on the launch of commercial operations.
The Bukpyeong Thermal Power Plant project is building a 1190MW (two 595MW units) coal-fired thermal power plant in Bukpyeong National Industrial Complex located in Donghae City, Gangwon Province. Unit 1 is set to be completed after a performance assurance test within 2 months, and unit 2 is currently undergoing a test run.
