Opened Jeokgeum-Yeongnam Cable-Stayed Bridge (Palyeong Bridge)

The Jeokgeum-Yeongnam cable-stayed bridge is a short-span suspension bridge that was opened  — following Baekya Bridge and Hwatae Bridge — among the 11 marine bridges connecting Yeosu and Goheung, Jeonnam. The opening of the bridge is seen to resolve the traffic inconveniences of island area residents and to serve as the starting point of the Southern Coast Tourism Belt project.
* Total length: 3.0km (suspension bridge 1.3km + road 1.7km)
