A dome representing the Islamic culture was installed at the top of the tower of the bridge at the Sungai Brunei Bridge construction site on August 20. Some 100 employees of Daelim and the client, including Brunei’s Minister of Development Haji Bahrin and Daelim Executive Director Yun Tae-seop, attended the event.

The dome is pulled up using a crane

The installed dome has length of 13.6m and weight of 9.5 tons. The dome was pulled up and installed using a crane from the upper layer of the bridge to the tower. The tower’s height became 157m after the dome was installed. The tower of the bridge is the highest structure in Brunei.

The Sungai Brunei Bridge construction is a project connecting both sides of the Brunei River, passing through Brunei’s capital, Bandar Seri Begawan City, specifically the Kampong Sungai Kebun area and Jalan Residency area. The project was ordered by the Brunei government to develop its southern area and revitalize the national economy. Once the bridge is completed, the existing 40km distance will be reduced to about 622m.
