The Hanoi Light Rail Transit Line 3 site in Vietnam successfully completed the first erection of the U-girder, a core construction type, on June 28. A U-girder refers to a type of bridge connecting bridge posts as a structure to enable a vehicle or a train to pass through on an elevated bridge. The installed U-girder has length of 25m and weight of 150 tons, and a 500t land crane was mobilized to install the u-girder.

The Hanoi Light Rail Transit Line 3 project seeks to build an elevated bridge railway where the light rail train will run in a section about 8.5km from the Hanoi Nhon carriage station to near Daewoo Hotel. The project was started in July 2014 and is expected to be completed in August 2018; the current process rate is 48%.
