Groundbreaking Ceremony for Access Road to Yeongam Haenam Tourism and Leisure-Type Corporate City

The groundbreaking ceremony of a project to build the access road to Yeongam Haenam Tourism and Leisure-Type Corporate City won by Daelim was held in Yongam-ri, Samho-eup, Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do on June 9. Jeollanam-do Governor Lee Nak-yeon, heads of the relevant institutions, Daelim Executive Director Gang Jae-ho, and directors of adjacent construction sites attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

The project involves building roads in the 5.4km section connecting Daejin-ri, Sanyee-myeon, Haenam-gun with Seoho-ri, Samho-eup, Yeongam-gun. The Civil Engineering Business Division will build one 2.2km-long bridge and three intersections. The Yeongam Lake traversing bridge built by the division is the largest and the first 180m-single span two-consecutive 3D double rib arch bridge to be built in Korea. The bridge is intended to serve as a landmark of Yeongam Lake. Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2020.
