House Repair Activities Using the Talents of Construction Company Employees

The 50 executives and employees of three Daelim Group construction companies — Daelim, Korea Development, and Samho – carried out repair for home of hope (habitat for humanity) by visiting Seongbuk-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul on June 9. The home repair activity is one of the major social contribution activities to improve the residential facilities of the underprivileged using the talents of executives and employees of the Daelim Group.
Daelim Group executives and employees visited four low-income homes in an inferior residential environment and carried out home repair. Insulation work, wallpapering, and flooring work were performed so that members of the households concerned can spend a cool and pleasant summer when sultry hot weather is expected. The inside lighting was replaced with LED lights, which have good power efficiency; worn-out sinks were also replaced.
“Home repair is a major social contribution activity implemented by Daelim continuously since 2005. We will spearhead the residential environment improvement of the underprivileged utilizing construction businesses’ characteristics,” said Daelim President Kim Han-gi who participated in the volunteer service.
