Daelim Energy signed on March 31, 2016 an electric power purchase contract on the construction and operation of a 49.5MW wind power plant with NEPCO in Amman, the capital of Jordan. This project is propelled by Daehan Wind Power, a special-purpose company co-invested in by Daelim Energy and Korean Southern Power.

The project will be executed in BOO (Build, Own, Operate) mode, with the power plant to be operated for 20 years and profits generated after building the power plant. In particular, stable financial procurement is expected through the participation of IFC, a World Bank and GIF affiliate organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport.

The construction site is located in Tafilah 140km south of the capital city of Amman, and the project is planned to be operated beginning 2019 after starting construction in 2017.
