Daelim Wins Port of Busan Oryukdo Seawall Reinforcement Project
Daelim won on March 10, 2016 the Port of Busan Oryukdo Seawall reinforcement project ordered by the Public Procurement Service. The construction amount is KRW 80.3 billion (VAT inclusive), with the Civil Engineering Business Division having a 70% (KRW 56.2 billion) stake; Samho’s stake is 20% (KRW 16.1 billion), and Heungwoo Construction’s stake is 10% (KRW 8 billion). This project involves reinforcing the 20-year-old 1,006m long worn-out seawall; two 8,750t caissons will be manufactured and installed, and 3,274 units of 100t reinforcing blocks will be installed. The construction duration is 60 months from construction commencement.
