Daelim wins Samseong-Dongtan GTX Section 2 Construction Project
Daelim won the Samseong-Dongtan GTX Section 2 construction project ordered by Korea Rail Network Authority on December 23, 2015. The total contract amount is KRW 191.2 billion (excluding VAT), and Daelim’s stake is KRW 86 billion (45%).
The Samsung-Dongtan line is 39.5kmlong; new tracks (9.8km) will be built between Samseong and Suseo, with the remaining 29.7km between Suseo and Dongtan to use KTX railroad. Five train stations will be constructed in Samseong-dong, Suseo, Seongnam, Yongin, and Dongtan. When the project is completed, it will take only 20 minutes from Dongtan to Seoul Samseong-dong.
Daelim is set to build a tunnel (2,958m) and an open cut station (Suseo Station) around Ilwon-dong and Suseo-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Construction, which is expected to take 41 months, is scheduled to be completed at the end of December 2019.
