Daelim Wins Ulreung Island Circuit Road Construction Project 2
Tunnels to prevent landslide and rockslide will be built.
Daelim won the Ulreung Island circuit road construction project 2 on March 31, 2015. The project was ordered by Gyeongsangbuk-do, and the contract amount is KRW 127 billion (excluding VAT); Daelim’s Civil Engineering Business Division will perform the project with 45% stake (KRW 57.2 billion).
Daelim is already implementing project 1, with project 2 expected to assure local residents’ right to safe movement and contribute to the activation of local tourism by improving backward existing roads on Ulreung Island. Project 2 involves the re-pavement and expansion of existing roads, five tunnels, five tunnels to avoid rockslide, and five bridges. The construction duration is five years from the date of construction commencement.
