Contract Signing Ceremony for Ma’aden Ammonia Project Held

The contract signing ceremony for the Ma’aden Ammonia project won by Daelim in July last year was held in Wa’ad Al Shamal in Northern Saudi Arabia on February 4, 2014. The local governor, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and Daelim Plant Business Division President Lee Chul-gyun and Director Chae Dong-won, among others, attended the ceremony.

The Ma’aden Ammonia project involves constructing an ammonia plant producing daily output of 3,300 tons in the Ras Al Khair region, located 80km north to Saudi Arabia’s eastern part, Jubayl. The client is Saudi Arabia’s largest mineral corporation, Ma’aden. America’s largest fertilizer producer, Mosaic, and Saudi Arabia’s state petrochemical company, Sabic, also invested in the project. The project duration is 39 months, with completion targeted for 2016.
