Yeosu No. 2 Complex L Project Site Completes Installation of 31 Silos

The Yeosu No. 2 Complex L Project site completed on October 13 the installation of 31 silos, a key process of the site, over six days on Sep. 9, 11, and 28~29 and Oct. 12~13. A silo is a kind of storage facility divided into five types depending on use by step when processing crude oil into polyethylene through various systems at the site: SeedBed Silo, Pellet Surge Hopper, Check Silo, Blending Silo, and Bagging Silo. The Yeosu No. 2 Complex L Project is a petrochemical site building a plant producing 600,000 tons of polyethylene by constructing two trains that can produce 300,000 tons of polyethylene (LLDPE/HDPE) at the Yeosu Industrial Complex LG Chem site. The project is the first performed by Daelim and LG Chem. Daelim is in charge of design/purchase, construction, and pre-test run. Kicking off on May 3, 2019, the project is slated to be completed in February 2021.
